Ok so I am a 32 yr old black single mom of a 5 year old looking to move out of Taylor Michigan(Taylor is located about 25 minutes from Detroit Michigan). I am moving because I hate the weather here. I love clear sunny skies and beaches.I will be self employed as a Speaker and life coach so I will travel a lot. I like Henderson but I love beaches and Greenery so that is why I was looking into San Marcos.I am torn about what to do because I love the San Diego(not a lot of events that cater to blacks in that area) but I don't want to be bored and all the taxes really scare me away and not to mention I want to own my home not rent forever. I do not want to deal with the smog so the cheaper areas in Cali are out because my health is more important then a beach. I saw cheap homes in San Diego but I have champagne taste with a beer bottle budget so the homes just don't fit my taste until you get into the $500,000 range...So long story short is Cali worth the money or not?
School district is important...Weather is important (I am always cold here in Michigan I even keep a heater under my desk in the summer time,lol)I don't want crazy natural disasters(this is why I ruled out other states like Texas,Florida ect.).
I just came from Vegas looking around and at my resort I seen tons and tons of California plates so I would love to hear what people from Cali and Vegas will have to say since you guys are familiar with both places most likely

School district is important...Weather is important (I am always cold here in Michigan I even keep a heater under my desk in the summer time,lol)I don't want crazy natural disasters(this is why I ruled out other states like Texas,Florida ect.).
