That's when we have a glut of extra potatoes. Gnocchi freezes very, very well. In fact, I prefer the texture after they have been frozen and then cooked. So, make them once, enjoy sporadically all year.

I liked when they held it by Flamingo/215 so that I could watch the fireworks and go home. I've been to it a couple of times mostly for the carnival. the food/drink is too expensive, carnival is too expensive, too crowded, and parking is terrible. Greek food festival is cheaper to get in to but I find that festival to be be a real snoozefest. Food is good though, they have music, some shopping, church tours, an expensive kids area. They provide a shuttle to and from the event which is really nice.

Anyone with a drop of Italian blood in their veins should be livid.....where is the Clark County Health Dist ? Food vendors were disgusting.....standing over a hot grill pouring sweat all over the sausage and onions......disgusting ! The prices are outragous......9 bucks to get in..........9 bucks for a slice of pizza and 5 bucks for a soda..come on !!!!!!!!!!!! This has become nothing short of a 3rd rate parking lot carnival..I'm Irish and disgusted.......can't imagine how the Italians feel.....! Speak up my Italian friends.......this overcrowded fiasco is a disgrace to your most respected heritage......

It's that elevated sodium content that is of greatest concern.....

Well the festival is over now. Did not get a chance to go. Maybe next year or the Greek festival. I am sure this thread will get locked. Someone will make a thread like this right before the next one comes to town.
