About 3 years ago sitting in my house in Plattsburgh NY while it as either snowing or the Temp as below 0 again and reading an article on the net about the advantages of living in LV and Nevada. I have been out here before but only on the strip and yes in July 112 degrees then. I wanted to retire someplace also that had good entertainment and restaurants. The more I researched the more I liked so that was when I got sold on LV. The housing prices fell into place and off I went starting to plan the move and this October I arrived and have not regretted it one moment. The tax situation in NYS also made my decision more easy. I just hope I have enough tee shirts and shorts lol Vegas Baby!!!!

When my relationship went South and I found out that Vegas (Nevada) had no income tax, cheap apartments & I could more easily get to work. I am NOT looking forward to the hot Summers but, it'll do for now.

I have always loved Vegas.. Not so much my wife who had a horrible first trip here after we married.. BUT everytime we visit she says she can't wait to retire and move here.. Lot of stuff to do and can't beat the weather and NO state tax.. Also lower cost of living than here in So Cal....

AND where else can you see Elvis, tricked out limos, half naked women and a Volcano all in the course of a couple hours.....

Wasn't that a typical night for Elvis?

There used to be a professional Elvis impersonator living up the street from me. The first time I saw him driving his daughter to school, I confess I did a double-take, but you quickly grow immune to the quirky things you see in Las Vegas.

I see a professional Elvis impersonator on Ft.Apache about once a month. He drives a pink 50's Cadillac. Makes me smile every time I see him.
