Last time I was out there, I was driving around Henderson in the Seven Hills/Anthem area. There are some spectacular views from there.

We had an excellent view of the valley from our home on Hollywood/Bonanza. When we moved over to Centennial, we had a good view, but not right from our front window.

SLightly off topic but not really....RE: nighttime views....we left 1955 this AM at 5:30 and drom the top of the pass outside Kingman, could see the skyglow of Las Vegas.....

That's been my everyday view for the past 2 years. To really capture that view in a photo, I will need a serious camera. No cell phone camera will do that view justice. Not even a half a$$ $200 camera will do.

Those camera men with the big a$$ canons waiting for Red Flag always offer anyone with access to the base favors and moola. There is a price for that view.

Owens/Los Feliz is really good too on the east side, also there is an area where people can park their cars there. I used to go fairly often with my ex

Certain areas of far North Las Vegas had a good view as well, particularly at Simmons and Centennial Pkwy just south of the 215. And at Centennial is where Simmons becomes Aliante Pkwy

Also the NW part of the 215 has some great views as well. 215 at Durango, Hualapai, Ann Rd, and Lone Mtn all have amazing views of the city, and IMO the best view of all was at 215/Summerlin Pkwy and 215/Lake Mead

When I was in Las Vegas a few years ago, I decided to drive around town to experience the "true" Las Vegas off the Strip. I also wanted to see what real estate was available. After hours of driving around teh city, I ended up in that neighborhood. I agree with you. While it doesn't seem like it is up on a hill, the views of the valley are great.
