I'm planning on moving back to Vegas next June to take care of my grand parents (which is who i'm staying with) and finish up my senior year of high school. I'm familiar with Las Vegas; lived there for sixteen years, before moving to LA last year. I searched online to see what school i'm zoned for and it seems like I'm zoned for Chaparral High School and Las Vegas High School. (I'm ten mins away from them) I've heard nothing but bad things about both of the schools. I really don't want to start my senior year off at a new high school. If I have too, then I will. Is it hard getting a zone varience to a different school, say Clark High school or Sunrise Mountain High School?

You should apply for one of the Magnets or technical schools-- they all perform better in the ratings than the traditional schools-- you can apply online at the school district website

Yup..try the Community College High Schools or Ad Tech or one of the Tech schools. You should be easily able to work something.

I would apply to one of the Tech Schools like Southwest or Northwest but I have really poor grades. My overall gpa is probably like 1.9-2.3
