Are the powers that be considering a new ballpark for the triple A team?

No, but its always an easy way to drum up some land. The government powers dont really care about the team, if they wisely left to something resembling a AAA facility in another state few would care. Its all about perception, in Reno the locals are thrilled with their stadium and what it has done, in Vegas the same stadium would draw mostly yawns. Maybein a few years if the Zappos projects lead to real change in downtown a baseball stadium might be considered.

Don't forget that the University of Nevada actually has a team in Reno. It is hard to get a lot of support for a team that is always that bad,

Just heard that the crappy Big East is asking UNLV and Fresno to join, in football only. I hope they have more sense than that as the MWC is going to be as strong if not stronger than the Big East and Boise might be staying.
