CPS has bigger fish to fry. A teenager living the good life on the strip is the least of their worries.

'Sex-crazy' mom who abandoned child at park sentenced - FOX5 Vegas - KVVU
Police arrest mother of boy run over by bus - FOX5 Vegas - KVVU
12-year-old alleged attacker in bus stop video charged - FOX5 Vegas - KVVU

Bring the 16 year old out, see how it works, if it doesn't, then send him back.

I think OP should look deep down inside himself and ask why he's so emphatic about getting this kid...

This situation would never make the news. A 16 year old teen left alone on the strip while guardian out of town? Why would the media care?

We got too many teens living in poverty off the strip. Maybe if the 16 year old was strung out on coke with hookers. Then caused a fire in one of the rooms.

Then maybe FOX 5 will be interested.

As previously elucidated: I have given my word.

BTW: the correct usage of the term emphatic would be in the context of an expression; e.g, an emphatic denial or an emphatic plea for assistance.

Actions are not normally emphatic. On occasion, it can be used to indicate immediate and decisive action.

But one does not acquire an exchange student emphatically.

All the best.

emphatic

em·phat·ic

[em-fat-ik] Show IPA
adjective 1. uttered, or to be uttered, with emphasis; strongly expressive.

2. using emphasis in speech or ACTION.

3. forceful; insistent: a big, emphatic man; I must be emphatic about this particular.

4. very impressive or significant; strongly marked; striking: the emphatic beauty of sunset.

5. clearly or boldly outlined: It stands, like a great, stone dagger, emphatic against the sky.

Careful JR.....I'm correct in it's usage, don't try to change the subject.

Subject being YOUR determination to do something severely irresponsible, not only with your life but with that of another. ....And seemingly all to impress some chickie!

Thanks for your concern. I guess we differ on if it's irresponsible or not.

It can be irresponsible, or it can be responsible. It depends on what you do. I still think hiring a responsible, matronly, housekeeper would be the best way to go if you insist on doing this.

I raised two boys. One stole the keys to his grandpa's Hummer and cruised it one the strip when he was fifteen. The other got busted by the cops when he loaded his motor-scooter up like a clown car with five of his friends. (To this day, I'm unsure how he managed this.)

It's an adventure and trying to manage it part-time, on the strip, no-less is not a task to be taken lightly.
