Hello. I'm going on a Southwest trip in March and Las Vegas is on the list. Can you all give me a hand in finding things to do/places to go?

I'm in my early 30's --- and like fishing, outdoors, hiking, sports, eating healthy food, drinking unique beer, drinking wine, bars/music/jazz all great.

Oh, I'll have a rental car the entire time.

Thank you.

I second that, I go every year for a week on business and unless you are into bar hopping/gambling Red Rock Canyon is the best way to spend a day. I've actually been to the Panwn shop on Pawnstars and saw Chumlee there but it was a big disappointment, way crowded.

Let us not be insane folks. I have seen much of the world and mostly on a reasonable expense account. There is no question in my mind the strip is one of the 7 wonders of the world at the moment.

I would think you could easily do a month on the strip and never fail to find something new that day.

So for a short term trip to Vegas...screw mother nature. Do the strip and get a feel for it. On your 7th or 8th visit we will send you to Red Rock or the Valley of the fire or Lake Mead or Zion.

But first few trips debauch, at least lightly...then you can uncover our natural assets.

One does not go to Cozumel for the hockey there.

I'm going to do a day or three at the strip, BUT, not a big gambler, but I do like shows. I also don't drink much.

So..... You dont think I should go see lake mead and zion?

Since you like the outdoors, which is very obvious from your first post, I will add Valley of Fire to the list.

Valley of Fire State Park | Nevada State Parks

We went there once and need to go back since we didn't leave early enough and ran out of daylight. Beautiful area.

No. The strip can entertain at least a week just looking. Then shows...then bars...then food...then...well you get the idea.

If your views prevent you enjoying the debauchery...Zion then the Valley of the Fire. Red Rock and Lake Mead don't rise to that level....unless you like the works of man...but you turned that down on the strip .
