My guess is that Vegas is so vibrant that people have a lot better things to do than sit around and measure their cities against one another.

I check in on this forum a few times a week. As we will be retiring (wintertimes) to Las Vegas in the future, I just like to keep up on the weather and the news. I particularly enjoy the pictures of everyday life, especially driving pics on the interstates and around town. What may seem boring to locals can have an educational angle to the rest of us who lurk here.

We will be coming out for a few days about four weeks from now. Just the wife and me. Then we will be bringing everyone (twelve of us) out in April.

I read with interest the stories of others young and old who, for various reasons, want to "try their luck" in Las Vegas. It seems to me that enthusiasm cannot compensate for youth and inexperience, but here in America we all enjoy the pursuit of happiness, don't we? I think though, that in the case of relocation to the southwest and to Las Vegas in particular, maturity (translation: age) and life experiences go a long way toward relocation success longterm. A financial cushion doesn't hurt, either.

I can see how some may think this forum can dry out. But I assure you that some of us who read from a distance do find interest in the simple day-to-day "dry" posts of this site. Please keep us informed on life in your area.

Or people are too busy working around the clock. The strip is 24/7 so...
