Along these same lines, keep in mind that Nevada is a live and let live state. Maybe the only one left. You could be a black man who is a Mafia hitman and a Mormon Bishop by day, and your white wife could be a secretary by day and a hustler who cons high rollers at night, both proud members of the PTA at your adopted Asian kids' school, and nobody would notice or care.

I do not live in Henderson or near by, but the following is culled from the city-data.com site which I believe we are all on.

Races in Henderson:

• White Non-Hispanic (78.2%)
• Hispanic (10.7%)
• Black (3.8%)
• Two or more races (3.5%)
• Other race (3.2%)
• Filipino (1.7%)
• American Indian (1.4%)
• Chinese (0.5%)
• Japanese (0.5%)

This would tend to indicate a much lower than average African American community. Others who actually live there might have much better information, but this seems to be the latest statistical data.

I thought that North Las Vegas was a predominately Black community in that area. Is that still so? Has it always been that way or is that a pretty recent phenomenon there?

Nope. Not true now. Not even close. Third ethnic group in NLV. Has not been true in the twelve years I have lived here...doubt it ever was...
