The article is to be taken with a grain of(insert morsal) but one thing that the article has that is somewhat credible is the "most searched city on Yahoo's search engine". I believe Google made the same claim last year about the city of Las Vegas turned up the most searches WORLD WIDE for places to visit or move to.

So we are popular by internet search alone. Which means people are at least interested in this city; good or bad.

One point we've gathered from the millions of searches on Yahoo! our users let their fingers do the traveling. We've tracked surges of searches on the Web to these top cities in the last year to see what most captures the attention of vacationers. And it's a diverse and at times surprising list. Here, the most searched-for cities on Yahoo!.

Thanks for sharing, all great cities on that list. I've visited all of them except Dubai, and that's on my list!

I contributed to that, as I go every year in April for a business conference, and like to see what's going on there well in advance. I might add that the sponsors used to alternate between the east and west for the conference, but this will be the third year in a row at Vegas, because the participants like it so much there. In my case, leaving 40s and rain for 80 and sun is definitely a plus. I think the prices appeal to the organizers, with nice rooms at $59 and great conference facilities.
