Me and my wife would like to go to Mountain Charlston this days for the first time but we dont ski
But we have one two passenger Inflatable Snow Tube
Someone told us that we are not allowed to use it there and its worth to go there only if you go Ski!

Is it true?

First, it's Mount Charleston.

Second, this link might give you the answers you're looking for: Go Mt Charleston. Explore, Learn, Volunteer.

My neighbors left yesterday morning to go tubing on Mt Charleston. They are getting a cabin that is used by the girl scouts during the summer. There is a hill nearby that they use. Don't know about the ski slopes.

It says Foxtail Picnic Area is best spot for snow playing.
However that area is closed now until 2014 according to .gov site.

I read somewhere that Foxtail was closing for a while too. Do they still allow tubing in the meadow below the ski area?

Drove up there for the first time. Where do they ski? We couldn't see any lifts from the road.

They ski here: Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort. They just had their 50th anniversary.

You might not have gone high enough on the mountain to see the resort.

You may have gone to Kyle Canyon if you don't know the area. The road to the ski resort is a lot further up U.S. 95 and is called Lee Canyon. The ski resort is at the end of that road. But if you go and want to see the resort you'll have to pay $20 to park. If you ski they give you back the $20 on your lift tickets. Bummer.
