I worked for MGM/Mirage, in their corporate offices, which is located behind Trump (actually, we watch Trump being built from our office windows). When I first went to work there, mgmt decided to leave out that little tidbit of info. Here I was looking for a little corporate office sign, had they told me "we are located directly across the street from 'strippers r us'" it would've been A LOT easier to find the offices
Thanks for that tip. I appreciate it.

Based on personal experience, I highly recommend Capital Grille. They're much better than Maggiano's. You definitely pay a premium though. A two-person party having two appetizers & main entrées as well as two cocktails & later sharing a dessert cost me over $250 there once... Thankfully I had a gift card that covered $200 of it! It was one of the best filet minion steaks I've ever had... Have fun and let us know where you decide to dine finally...

Thank you. I owe her for the many times she has treated me so Capital Grille sounds like the right place.

There are some wonderful restaurants in the Forum shops (Spago's, a Spago's fusion place and a great steak house) and a heavily patronized by locals Italian place called Nora's, further west on Flamingo or Tropicana. Paris also has a very nice French place with some outdoor seating. The Grand Lux in the Venetian is basically a Cheesecake Factory with a different menu. Actually we drive down to the Strip to eat there occasionally during the week but it is not, I don't think, what you would call a special place and I've seen your posts before and know you come out here fairly frequently. Also behind the Strip is a great Italian place called Ferraro's and on a side street running parallel is Lawry's Prime Rib.

Yes, it's owned by the Cheesecake Factory. Certainly not the fanciest place in town, but a good value for a strip restaurant. You never know how much people are looking to spend unless they mention it.

Hopefully, OP will come back and tell us how she liked dinner at Capital Grille.

Please tell us how bad the train noise is at night. I've heard many varying reports about the Trump.

I have never stayed at the Trump.

I have been IN the building once for a meeting and had lunch in the meeting room.

I totally DISLIKE Donald Frump and EVERYthing he touches.

THAT all being said [the usual disclaimers]

THIS is a CLASS JOINT!!!!!!!

I was disappointed that I was so positively impressed.

We never had a chance to eat at the Capital Grille. It was a non-stop whirlwind trip. The Trump was really nice. We had a suite with two full bathrooms and a kitchenette. We will stay there again for the next girls weekend.

We stayed there a year ago and had a 1 bedroom apartment. Best place we stayed in America. Free shuttles to the main Casino's and a really nice room. Being from Australia it took us three days to realize that Nordstroms was a department store and the easiest entry into the mall. 120 degrees in August BTW. Capital Grill was really good and as the other poster said quite expensive for Vegas but worth it.
