The amount of income you are "hoping" to get, if it does come in, will be a struggle anywhere you live. If you like to gamble and believe gambling works, you will be faced with temptation every which way you turn. Talk about depressing....try living in the entertainment capital of the world, surrounded by nice looking wealthy people as you realize you can't afford to drive any of the cars like they drive, dress in any of the fine clothes they dress in or enjoy any of the fancy clubs or restaurants. And there will not be any excuses for it; it will just be the facts of life.

I'm from Ohio and know Ohio. Stay there. You will have a much easier lifestyle. Buy a sun lamp and use it in the winter for your seasonal depressive disorders.

I'm a first timer on CD, been lurking for a while. Felt compelled to join in after reading the OP's message.
My 2 cents... DON'T MOVE !!! You have so many issues. Moving won't help them. Please reconsider.

From a health perspective. Nevada is not the place for you if you feel compelled to gamble AND you have personality/mood disorders. The gambling addiction will fuel your disorder. There are insufficient psychiatric services in Nevada to help you manage. I have personally seen emergency rooms overflowed with psychiatric hold patients who have no place to go. There is just not enough staff, and recent budget cuts have exacerbated the problem. You need to be where you can stay healthy.

I read the whole post. Moving to LV would be a disaster for the OP.

I also read the OP's entire post. I'm not an expert on behavior/addiction by any means. I've never played real cards in my life. Most of the "games" at any casino I don't understand. I have a blackjack & solitaire game on my phone and that is the extent of my "gambling". However, I feel that you have a gambling problem and would not recommend moving here. As a new resident to Las Vegas I was surprised that slot machines are literally everywhere. Grocery stores, convenience stores etc. The only place I didn't see any kind of gambling machine was at the DMV. My naivety I guess. I'm thankful I don't know how to gamble.

Do yourself a favor. Don't learn. I've seen many lives utterly and completely wrecked because of gambling addictions.
