Hello everybody

I'm a 23 year old single guy and I have the option of relocation to Vegas in June. I'm was wondering if you could give a quick rundown on the city?

Questions I would like answered:

I only make 45k a year so I'm not loaded. Will I be able to enjoy my time in Vegas with this salary?

What areas should I look at moving too? I want to meet people around my same age and party, but at the same time want to be able to escape the crazy party scene.

What are some good activities to do besides gambling that are social for people under 30 in vegas?

Not so much. In point of fact, in the normal urban sense, there's nowhere really "cool" to live in Vegas. The sensibility is very suburban.

I'm 22, and just moved to Vegas. From just living here a month I can also tell you that 45k a year will be more than enough to be comfortable. Centennial Hills, where I reside, seems to be very quit, but very new and modern. So if you are looking for more of a party atmosphere I wouldn't recommend up here.

So far I haven't found any social activities to meet new people, but managed to make quite a few friends just from work. It really seems like everyone here is extremely nice though.

Moving to Vegas was the best decision I've made. Goodluck with your decision!

I have visited once, but my stay was pretty much all on the strip. It was a fun 22 birthday.

Which apartments are party apartments and which ones aren't?

Yes. Seriously.

The cost of living is nowhere near what it is in DC. You'll be more than comfortable with that kind of salary... just be smart and don't blow it on strippers, gambling and bottle sevice.

Just curious, do you work from home or can you transfer here at your current job?
