What do you mean by Las Vegas pain center
There are institutes, etc.

Do you refer to a certain doctor?

Thanks

With systemic pain (residual from arthrits &
Neuritis treatment ) you would need 5-7
Of them in your body.

Unfortunately, I have had this condition for
30 yrs & it's defenerative.

Many people have similar there must be
A few doctors who treat them.
Any doctor you see will have to develop his/her own treatment plan. I don't think you will be able to just walk in to any doctor and tell him/her what you have decided you need.

Unhappy Pain doctors

Received email from someone @ rehab & pain institute.
They will take Medicare but will NOT prescribe pain medicine.

Wow. I feel like a criminal !!!
The hard but of this hand I was felt genetically should be the
Illness.

Too bad so many people have abused the system for $ &
What must be a high.

Maybe I should just try to contact rheumatologists. It's really
Not all that rare.

Thanks for everyone's advice!

they will treat it, but not simply by writing you a prescription every 6 months or so. They will no doubt offer some PT, biofeedback, other alternative tx in addition to any drugs needed. It's kind of (no, I take that back: IT IS) a "my way or the highway" situation. However the longer you are with a specific physician, he should be able to see if you're one of the good guys or not.

We had 2 very bad doctors in Hawaii - total charlatans. One ran his own "rehab" clinic across the hall from his practice, and the other was a pharmacist as well as an MD who demanded that you obtain your meds from him and no other. Finally found one who was not only smart but human, thank God.

Accelerated Rehabilitation and Pain Center prescribes medication--- I know personally because I go there and receive pain meds there as do many of my clients.

Default looking for good pain management Dr

I understand your frustration..all to well! I am in the same position well different medical problems ..I've lived in Vegas for 7 yrs from Utah kept my Dr in Utah for first two years and had to find a Dr here ..thus started my very painful journey & I'm still trying to find a Dr that is ethical & knowledgeable. But it's even worse. Now since the new laws & the government coming down hard on Dr's because of the drug addicts ..on my third Dr whom I've had to stay with because no 1 can't find a good Dr & no2 if I continue to try other drs I will b flagged or labeled as drug seeker & "Dr shopping " I hv been told twice by my primary care Dr & pain management Dr too " just move, go to California or back to Utah " I said it's not that easy & maybe if I made the$$$ u do then it might b possible. Basically there r not any good drs here ..unless someone can help guide me.. I am on disability & completely bed ridden now since the drs here won't treat me also convinced me to take half of meds..so I'm taking less than I was 13yrs ago & my MRI shows my injuries hv tripled in addition to other degenerative arthritis osteoarthritis pinched nerves 8 hernias & several more in my neck ..& surgery is not an option they say I would b worse..whatever u do do not ..DO NOT SEE DR MOHAJER ....he is arrogant & refuses to prescribe anything even a aspirin ..lol.my Mom has cancer & whole lot of other problems & he barely gives her a loratab...he said narcotics r not the way & r not to b used for injuries or pain it leads to addiction. Ha! Suffer that's what he said ..seriously so if anyone can help either of us please do so..& if I find some help I certainly will share information to everyone ..thnx for letting me vent..lol..& I do apologize for this being so long trying to shorten it..this is my life & I'm only 44 so very sad & almost ready to give up..keep praying & trying thnx again & God bless & take care

So sorry to hear of your problems. Moved from Cali to MN
in 2006. Same thing happened. Finally found some good docs
But it took 3 yrs!

I fear the same thing happening You can't just move ESP
W/all that damage.

I waited forever to go on narcotics but finally couldn't live w/
The pain. Took years to find someone in Cali

Have been emailed & phoned by LV docs who said what you did.
Mine is Inherited Autoimmune. If 1 procedure helped I would
Need another 7 but I suspect it won't. Have been dealing w/
This for 20 yrs. don't want useless interventions which
May make it worse.

I am faxing info to a rheumatologist who I hope can refer to
Another specialist for pain. I am tired of being treated like
A criminal as well. Even acupuncture only lasts 1.5 days.
At 100.00 session who could Afford it?

Best wishes.

There is a magazine (free) in Whole Foods that has a list of best doctors in Las Vegas. Am not sure how the list was generated but I found my doctors - w/o the list as it was not published then and they are all on it- by using Angie's list, checking their medical schools and board certifications; googling their names and seeing comments on Yelp and other sources; checking their medical licenses, etc.

I was advised to obtain a specialist for the primary issue,
Autoimmune, & then have them send you to other specialists.

I have experienced that MDS want to develop their own plan
It's territorial.
