One more thing to add, if you have all the documents ready, the Decatur DMV is nice. If you go early (I think they open 8AM) the turn around is fast. I was in and out within 1.5 hours, that includes the vin inspection, struggling with my stupid plates, filling out forms, and the photo shoot for your DL. In NY you have to make sure to allot half a day or a full day to get all that I did here in 1.5 hours.

I had 20/20 vision but after waiting for over 250 people ahead of me over 3 hours my vision got old and tired
Bring a book to read you will have to wait. I also did not have my birth certificate but they accepted my baptism record
Weird!!!! Don't forget to bring some tools to take off your old plates and hand them in and then be able to put on your new ones. NEXT
