While I was being cuffed this afternoon, I noticed the slogan, "To Protect and Serve". Is this a slogan that is outdated, and inaccurate? If, so what changes would be fitting to describe the public's perception of police? I personally like "Justitia Omnibus", even if that slogan is painfully untrue.

. . . and are you in Clark County, or down in L.A? I know that slogan originated with the LAPD in the 1950's, and I thought they had trade marked it in recent years. So, are you in the Clark County lockup or in the City of Los Angeles Municipal Jail?

dont think its outdated, they still try and protect the populace and serve the community.

not insinuating anything but your take on police might not be viewed as the most reasonable or qualified being that you were locked up for something recently.

Ohh that is nothing new for Sheriff. He is an expert on jail facilities around the nation. Writes the "zagat" guide to local prisons...

No, simply fabricated, as is so much on this site--I was actually gunned down by police.

I don't know about the protect part, do you think the police can protect you from a crime against you?

Did no harm. The Sheriff could be shot full of holes and never damage a real human being.
