I will be moving to Las Vegas in August for grad school and I just recently found the Canyon Willow Condos such as this one - PBI Rental Properties in Las Vegas | Canyon Willow in Southeast Las Vegas . Was wondering if anyone has lived/knows anything about them/surrounding area? I tried searching, but couldn't find anything specific about them on here. Thanks for any info!

A friend lived there and I stayed there with her for a few months. This was about 6 or 7 years ago though. They're set up like apartments, but I believe it is called a condo because the walls are thicker or something (that's what a realtor told me once). I thought they were nice and sizeable relatively. You just have to be careful on the eastside of Vegas, period. I'm a single female though and I actually looked into buying one of those. I would have just been cautious.

Thanks for the reply! I'm a single guy (23 years old) and hopefully will have a roommate. I heard the east side could be kind of "iffy," but the place looks really nice online and it's really cheap so I might go for it. Thanks again!

Hello! Funny that you ask about these townhomes, I'm just getting ready to rent there. I have a friend who is a condo owner & has lived there for about 12 years. She loves it and has no complaints. I went out there to visit her a year ago and I loved it too.
The community is nice and quiet, there are 2 pools and a gym. Covered parking. There are only 2 floors so even if you get the top floor there aren't too many stairs to carry groceries & stuff.

The rooms are nice & large, you can get a 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom or even a 3 bedroom unit. If you can find one that has the solar panels that is nice, that helps keep the cool inside & the heat out.

She says the utilities are reasonable, I think all the stoves are gas and usually the condo owner pays water & sewage & HOA fees.

As far as safety, my friend is married but even so she goes about on her own most of the time & she has never had any problems with theft or crime (knock on wood)!

So, hope that helps! and hope you love your new home!

I lived in Canyon Willow in 2000-2002. Moved East to be near family but moving back in 2 weeks for health reasons. It's a nice place; quiet, convent to grocery, CVS, bus lines, and close to airport and The Strip. It's East of UNLV and quite safe.
