Consumer Reports gives Tesla near perfect 99 out of 100, but still doesn't reccomend buying them - limited range, long charging times...http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2013...reports-tesla/

Interesting. Can't wait for the cars that drive themselves though. I probably won't have enough money to do this nor do I have a license.

Charge for 15 minutes and you can still drive around 50 miles more after getting to Las Vegas
Now THAT is convenient. We need as many of those supercharger stations around as possible.

You had to through that in. Ha...

But if you think about it, one may need to own a home to have charging capabilities in the garage. Who knows when apartment complexes or landlords will get onboard.

I wonder what it costs to do one full electricity charge on such a car?

Hi Diane, all you do is multiply the size of the "tank" by the price of your electricity.

My car has a 24 kwh battery pack, so it's 24 X 4.5cents (my discounted kwh rate from NVenergy) = $1.08 for a full "tank"! (100-120 miles). It's probably more like $1.20 because the charger is not 100% efficient, but still an incredible deal.

Found some pictures of the Supercharger station in Barstow. It's out behind a Chili's at the outlet mall. There are only four stations right now, recently expanded from two.

Not nearly as nice as the Supercharger station on more heavily traveled routes (Tejon Ranch):
