Take the open top bus if you want to drive the strip...All the strip needs is another distracted driver!

Don't you wish you had a dollar for every mile you put on the car cruising The Strip, and Fremont St? I sure do. I miss it. And I miss parking at the front door of the casino ...and the airport.

I try to take folks who visit Las Vegas for the first time on the strip for a ride in daylight hours Reason why? It looks so much different at night and more people out and about. Same way with Fremont ST it is to different worlds from day to night. Keep in mind Las Vegas is a neon/Digital sign town many other areas do not have this or allow it in their suburbs areas. I try to break them in for the other razzle dazzle show of when they go into the casinos and get that Deer in the head Lights look I just went through this with my oldest daughter visiting here for the first time because she proclaimed she had been in a big casino before really a Indian casino in Northern NYS which you could fit the whole thing in a corner of any major casino here. I think she changed her mind the other thing which new visitors marvel at is the amount of Limos and the type of them she pointed them out when she saw them I just said to myself I hope one of them never hit me driving Same way at the airport all of the Limos there lol. Las Vegas is unique and that is what makes it fun.

Traffic calms down about half way down Tropicana after you get past the airport.
She'll be coming from the Rental car facility, so those directions won't work. But it's very easy to get to the strip from the facility.

Thanks for all your comments...Maybe we will just wait for the daytime Strip drive the next day as suggested. I have booked the Mirage for one night and The Golden Nugget for one night so she can actually experience staying in a casino hotel too...Not that my condo isn't a lot of fun LOL...IrishSpy: Perhaps you and Patricia may be up to meeting us at Boulder for brunch the next day..Sunday, August 25th, and then I'll take Terry for her Strip cruise. It's a long time away...See you the last week in May too!
