I got an attorney and they went to the court 2/07/13 to knock my speeding ticket down to a non-moving violation. I'm just wondering how long I have until I have to pay off the ticket. Currently in college and I don't have the money to pay it off at the moment.

I'm going out of the country in about 2 weeks, but when I come back, I don't want some kind of warrant for my arrest to surprise me out of nowhere. Does anyone know?

It's April 28th... find the money. It'll only get more expensive if you let it sit.

If you can afford to leave the country for 2 weeks, you can afford this.

There should be a phone number on your ticket somewhere, you can call in and ask when the ticket is due. If you're short on cash you can use a credit card and pay it off next month, or in increments if you're really short on cash.

I believe some counties even allow you to pay off fines in increments, you just need to call and ask and get all the information.

Stick it on a credit card and pay it off one dollar a month. Really. If you do not pay the ticket off in a timely manner the next time you will find the car towed away or booted.

Call the court that you are ordered to pay, they will work with you and likely out you on a payment plan.

[mod cut-- orphaned]

If you have the money to pay a lawyer, which is usually a couple of hundred dollars, you don't have the money to pay a parking ticket, which is usually only about $100, at least where I'm from.

The attorney is usually about $45. The ticket is AMENDED to illegal parking, but the fine is for the moving violation which is probably around $400 to $500. You can set-up a payment plan with court.
But your lawyer should have sent you all that information... Contact him.
