We are starting to do a serious home search now since the lease will be up soon and are going to see a home in Inspirada today. What are your thoughts on the area? I've driven by it and the only potential issue I can see is that it's really close to Executive Airport. I'm wondering if this could be an "annoyance". Any thoughts on this or anything else about the community - good and bad?
Thanks!

B,

I asked this same question (General Aviation issues-Inspirada) in a thread last week and received no response. I've looked at the terminal area instrument procedures and everything (on an instrument flight plan departure / arrival) pretty much avoids the east.

That stated, the next question is VFR (visual flight rules) traffic and where their traffic pattern is (either west side or east side of the airfield). I just called the Henderson Exec Airfield Manager, Dennis Anderson, and the traffic pattern is used on both sides, with the west being predominant. Looking on the map, houses on the Inspirada north side will get more noise than the south when aircraft are taking off to the south (normally predominant winds out of the SW) and they do a left traffic pattern (east side of the airfield). Most aircraft will turn prior to Inspirada when doing this, but you do have the slant distance to consider.

That stated, I've heard that Mountain's Edge actually has worse issues with flight paths (true or not?), so I suggest an hour or two at an Inspirada park to confirm the above. Note the winds and whether Henderson is taking off to the south or north, because that shall make a difference.

If I end up buying in that area, I'll do the same. But please let me know if you confirm or deny issues.

co-worker lives there; very nice parks (within the master community), nice mix of different economic classes. I don't like how it's a bit far away from major freeway and how everything seems a bit far (i.e target, gym, gas station etc....) this is in relation to other communities in Henderson.

I live on the western edge of Sun City anthem. I can see the Inspirada development Canvas edge road at the edge of my street. Yes, you will hear planes. Overall, I still consider my neighborhood quiet. That is just my opinion. Ireally like this location. You just travel down Volunteer to the I 15 or drop down Exec Airport drive to Saint Rose. i cant speak to the neighbors in the neighborhood

I lived in Inspirada for a few years and loved, loved it! I don't think I ever heard any air traffic noise. I liked how it is a community and you can still see the Vegas skyline. I don't know what it's like now, but when I was living there, everyone was super friendly. I've lived a lot of places and knew the most people there. I would love to buy a city (why it's called that when Vegas is a town, same goes for the City Center?) home and retire! I really miss Vegas . . . As far as getting places, never a problem for me. Eastern Ave was super easy to get to and Vegas Blvd was less than a mile away.

I am an Inspirada resident for a year and a half now. No issues with air traffic noise. We've lived here with a toddler and not onve has airline nose ever woken her from a nap, or from overnight sleeping.

As for the neighborhoods: There's not a neighborhood/development in town that I'd rather live in!
