I am sick of Chase and I don't like Bank of America under any circumstance. Any other suggestions for banks here in Vegas. I live in Spring Valley.

Consider it added. I had issues with them when I lived in Cali. I see US Bank is popular here. Any opinion about them? I will definitely look into credit unions. Thanks.

I use the America First CU, I am not a heavy user of financial services but they have been great for my needs. I picked them because of earlier recommendations on this forum.

Thanks. I will check them out. In the meantime, I have stopped all my direct deposits to Chase.

I want to switch to the Bank of George, just because it is the silliest name EVER for a bank (until someone opens a Bank of Fred).

It's in the UK, but there is a "Bank on Dave!"

I have ran into people that say they "bank" at the casinos. Sometimes they even let you spin the wheel to win prizes after cashing your check.

One piece of advice: Stay away from Nevada One Credit Union (formerly Nevada Federal CU). No tellers, no way to cash a check, if you deposit a check it has to be done through the ATM, and you will be credited with a maximum of $500 unless your deposit is "certified" by one of the non-tellers in the branch. No Saturday hours, online banking run by a very unresponsive third party company (can you say "three insufficient funds charges in the same day for the same transaction"?). Opened an account with them, experience was so horrible that I moved my account to Wells Fargo three weeks later despite the hassle. More info in PM if you want it.

I don't know how these people stay in business. If I ran a bank out of my garage, it would operate like this one.
