To the extent possible, do you determine where you look to pick up based on the probability of getting strip club spiffs or the like?

Also do cabbies form groups on the same shift to share info?

No, no clubs that I know about.

The Ethiopians definitely share information and help each other out...even across companies.
I tried to organized a few people but they seemed to only take info and not give any so I quit trying.

It seems Americans don't like helping each other...not cabbies at least.

That's for sure.
A couple of the foreign guys offered help a couple times, but not really a group or meet up.

Google just invested 40 million in Uber. Considering that several years ago 40% of Yellow Cab sold for 10 million, this should be a wake up call. Uber has recently won a lawsuit in NYC brought by unions and cab companies. They are reintroducing service there. Next cities on the waterfall include Las Vegas. These type services are changing the landscape for the traditional taxi model. They will do the same thing to taxi service that Netflix did to DVD rentals. www.uber.com You might want to check it out.

Their site was horrible to navigate so I never did figure out exactly what they do or how they do it.
I'm guessing that they match up fares with cabbies....I'm not too sure how that's gonna work here in LV when there are established cab lines and laws regarding them.

A few personal drivers is one thing, but if too high a percent of fares and cabs are trying to skip the cab lines it would be pandemonium...the casinos need the order they've established to keep things running smoothly.
I could see it working for locals and off-strip places though...

We get about 32% of the meter here. You can make 70k a year though if you really know what you're doing.

I'm doing mid/high 30's right now, but I'm new.

WOW f.2! You must've been the top man at your company....all companies actually!
Your numbers are almost double that of anyone else despite the company. I'm impressed.

...Then again you are showing specific dates and the TA is showing yearly average per month...still impressive though.

@exremeathiest
Longhauling is the key...I wouldn't do it.
I'm referring to those guys who are quite above your average that you mentioned...longhauling is how they're doing it.
