Man, you guys are leaving the business in droves. Maybe the taxi companies will have to start treating employees like human beings.

No, they'll just bring in another boatload of Northern Africans, or Eastern Europeans, to the promised land.

INDEED is showing the average LV taxi driver's salary at $32,000. That seems to be a questionable number. I wonder where they get their data.

Well....I can say that driving crude oil in the West Texas oil fields pays a whole lot better than driving a cab in LV!

....and I don't have to put up with people. Even though that was part of what I loved about cabbing, it was also an equal PITA.

32,000 sounds about right. The problem is it is peaky. You make a lot in the peak season and barely enough to survive off season. When you break it down per hour it's terrible. Roughly 8.54 an hour. Very long hours for very little money.
On top of that it is a very unsafe job. Police officers are safer than cab drivers.

That makes sense. The work is seasonal. I can see how it's a dangerous job. Seems that the cab companies are the only winners. I wish you good luck in finding something soon.

If I had a 40 hour work week there I'd never have complained. It was 72 hour work weeks, almost double...
