What did you pay to move to LV
Although this is a very broad question, what did you pay a moving company to move you to LV? I live in a three bedroom two bath home with a two car garage and will probably rent the same in LV next year. I live in the Seattle area where housing and rents are high.
I'm just curious, what folks paid for the move on average from where they lived. I'll pack the boxes and pay the movers to load the truck, transport to LV, unload and minor set up. Cheers.

Moved from Roanoke, VA last summer '07. Packed the stuff and boxed them ourselves. I recall paying about $3600-3800 all in all (for a 2 bedroom apartment) which included full insurance coverage option

Moved from New Hampshire. $1100 to rent a Uhaul. Packed everything myself. Paid about $1000 in gas (!!). 4 nights in a hotel (stayed one night with cousin) ran me about $400.

Why didn't you just rent a U-haul and drive? It would have been cheaper!

I just moved here from Seattle 2 weeks ago. Had 3 quotes to move a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 3 car garage (plus 2 motorcycles) from a house and a 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment down to Vegas (we boxed up everything). Jordan River moving quoted $7800 (numerous complaints in the BBB website though so we passed), Mayflower $6600 and some other company I cant recall which quoted $6000 (all quotes were based on in home visits). We went with Mayflower and were very happy. A total of 8 guys showed up to wrap and load all the boxes and furniture--Nothing was damaged, they were here early and the quote matched the final cost to the penny.
