You might want to point out to them that you had communicated your requirements to them, but that you'd been misled -- knowingly or not -- into renting an apartment that would make you ill, and thus the apartment is not habitable for you.

Point out that you're willing to cover some of the costs (if you are), but that you need to move out in order to protect your health ... and that if you'd been advised that the apartment would be a toxic(?) environment for you, you would not have signed the lease.
