Hello all,

I'm relocating and currently working from home with my online business and there are two areas I liked when visiting the city.

-South Western "Enterprise". I like the newly developed area. Anyone on here live in that part of town?

-Henderson and the south east part of vegas along boulder highway.

Basically i'm a very outdoors type of person. I'd like an area that I can go ride my bike to the store without worrying about getting hit by a drunk in their rental off the strip. People annoy me so the lesser populated parts of town would be ideal.

Any locals willing to give an outsider a hand? Most importantly does anyone know of cheap apartments on the south western or south eastern part of town? I'm from CT and the cost of living is literally half but the CHEAPER the BETTER. Not looking for a luxurious apartment, just something to start off in to see if this is the place I actually DO want to live.

P.S, i did view summerlin. That would be my 3rd choice to live although i'm trying to keep costs down as minimal as possible at the moment.

What is your budget for the apt? If you are thinking 500-600, forget it.. you'll be in a tough area.... Figure 800 plus utilities, etc... and you really need a car here... public transportation is fair at best.

These 2 wishes seem contradictory. If you hate people, nothing will annoy you more than living in close quarters next to multiple strangers (no matter what part of town you're in).

I personally like the SW part of town, but the density of housing is strangely interspersed with wide-open plots of desert. There's no in-between.

I can deal with close quarter living, i'd rather not be around the mass amount of people on the strip is what i'm saying. I'm in the suburbs of NYC and it's a very dense area here, so i'm used to close quarter living.

-Got a car...no problem there!

-Def looking for under $1200 a month! Right now my 1br is 550sqft at $1600 a month here and totally looking to drop the cost of living. I find that the southwest part of vegas is very cheap(almost everything under 900) for a 1br.

Then you can pretty much pick whatever 1BR you want in Enterprise for $1200/month. Vegas is cheap compared to where you're coming from!

I live in Enterprise and love it. I don't really know anything about the apartments, but I've lived in this area for several years.
