Escort 9500ix or Valentine One.

In the last few years I've driven around with a detector, I've always seen the cops using Ka band. I've never gotten a laser hit or any other bands. I know they have laser, but it seems pretty rare it's used in my experience.

I am running the Beltronics STIr Plus built in unit with GPS and Laser Interceptors for Lidar protection. I feel this is the best combo on the market today, but comes with a price. Both units are updateable to combat current threats used by law enforcement. Read up online and you will see why I chose this combo for the BEST protection.

Down south you didnt need a detector because everybody would flash their lights as a warning of pigs ahead. Here we are unfortunately on our own. No anti pig team work whatsoever on these streets.

wow I think those 2 are the best on the market right now? I saw a sale for 9500ix for 350 in amazon, oh yeah what's the diff between blue display and red display?

Both are really good which one would you recommend in Vegas? maybe 9500ix in the city and more crowded area and V1 for open roads, rural areas? or doesn't really matter? I had a V1 before maybe I will try out 9500! thanks for the reply.

I have a V1. I have been lasered on Tropicana late at night. It has paid for itself a few times over.

With out a laser jammer you are toast. Lidar gun has already recorded your speed. The only thing your detector did is let u know you are getting cited. Go to guysoflidar.com and read up.

How about just driving the speed limit in town fer cryin out loud? You need to go more than 45-50 mph on a city street? Why?

I couldn't agree more with this statement. Between distracted driving, entitled red-light running, pedestrian kills and bus stop collisions, you people want to do it even faster?

Save your money, and maybe your life, by simply not speeding. Most major roads in the valley have speed limits of 45, and most smaller roads are 35. I generally stay within the limits and still manage to get where I'm going, and I haven't had a speeding ticket since 1997. Just a suggestion...
