Default So, I might need to move back (job question)

I'm just about ready to start tossing out my resume to LV businesses, but I wanted to see what the folks on here had to say.

I moved out of Vegas to San Diego, right when I graduated about 2.5 years ago. I have a Bus. Admin/Info Sys degree, worked in IS/Network Management for much of my time in SD, and now work as a financial data analyst (researching, compiling data from db's, etc).

Up until the point of graduation, I knew that the IT industry in Vegas was very lacking. I just couldn't bring myself to earn $13/hr as a help desk analyst at the casinos (palms, mandalay), nor do I have intentions of being on the help desk ever ever ever.

My question is, have things changed since then? For example, what types of jobs are being offered at the 50-60k range? I haven't had much time to research, but if anyone that has their finger on the pulse of the IT/Financial industry (analytical/research positions), any info would be most appreciated
