Just do a few windows at a time. Sunburst has been in business over 30 years, so you have the confidence that you can take your time and all the shutters will match even if it takes you a few years to get the project done. Go for it.

I don't want to say anything wrong but I paid for LARGE sliding door and 2 windows 1700$ everything included with different company.
And now after 3 years its still looking like new.
Im not saying sunburst is charging too much, they probably have quality to justify that price, but to do all home then someone would spent 7000+ minimum for shutters alone and that's a lot

For some reason shutters in US don't block light even 75%.

I don't know why is that but in Europe shutters close almost every source of light.

I had shutters in my home in Europe and there was not even small light coming trough. Not to mention that shutters are much cheaper there.

Every shutter I saw here in US has some holes or space around where light still can enter.

I used a cheap online vendor, although I can't even find the name anymore. That was back in 2005 and they still look good (IMO). They are white plastic, but no yellowing or anything. I paid $15/sf, which most of my windows were 4' x 5', so $300/window. That included shipping, but I installed them myself (not very difficult).

You should be able to call Sunburst or whomever and get a rough price per square foot, that's usually how they charge.

yes they are more expensive, but this statement from their webpage makes it all worth while to me:

"Polywood shutters are 100% made in the USA: from the raw materials to the extrusion to the painting and assembly, no part or process originates or happens outside of the USA"

i will GLADLY pay more for a product that is made 100% in the USA

Did anyone have custom arched windows in their home? Like a half circle? Just wondering what the ball park price is for those? I have 4 in my house....
