heck...the only ones that ever knocked on my door is the Jehovah Witness people. I used to tell them to shove that Watch Tower up their a$$es....and then they got smart and started to bring little kids to the door with them so I couldn't tell them that. Those poor kids were being used as pawns! Now I don't answer my door. Same problem, different criminal, I guess.

Another unfortunate consequence is that if you're ever in a situation where you could use assistance from a stranger, they're going to be reluctant to even open the door for you, and awfully skeptical about your problem unless you're bleeding all over their doorstep.

I did let someone bleeding all over my doorstep in one night. A long time ago back in Calif. The guy i was with let the guy in. We never did figure out what happened to the guy to be all covered in blood, because he left before he told us. He called for a ride, and someone came and got him. This was also in the 80's when things weren't as dangerous as they are now.

Really? Seems like crime was worse then! I think New York city had its worst back in the 80s-90s. I think its just we have more media coverage .. from 24 Hour Cable TV- Satelite Radio- Internet.

I want to hear more-
Matt--
I'd like to ask you more about your crime when you were robbed? Would you feel comfortable sharing? What area of town do you live in?

Matt got annoyed with the list and left. Message 10 in this item has a reasonable telling of the tale and where it happened.
