I don't usually agree with Las Vegas lists, but I agree with all 26 things above.

I agree with much of that list.

"Nature Closer to Home," "Cheap Flights to Almost Anywhere" and "Day and Weekend Trips" extol the virtues of leaving Las Vegas. That's certainly one of the keys to living here -- getting the [censored] out as often as possible.

Avoiding the Strip? Absolutely. If not for work, I could gladly avoid the Strip most of the year.

And then there's this gem: "It’s always en vogue to talk about how dirty Las Vegas is, how despicable the culture is or how it isn’t possible that anyone could actually like living in Las Vegas. People love to hate Las Vegas, even some locals." They certainly hit the nail on the head with that observation.

i disagree about "cheap flights to almost anywhere." It's never cheap flying to Michigan and back. Or to Italy where one of my nieces is getting married this year.

No, you can't fly anywhere in the world for $100, but overall, flights to many destinations are not only "cheap" when compared to other airports, but there are a ton of them, and fly 24 hours a day.

Actually AirTran and Spirit had roundtrip flights from Baltimore to Vegas for $90

I love the many stores and restuarants that are located close by me. Easy to find your way around here too. Me being one that gets lost easy. LOL. Love the weather.
