Looks nice! I had to take down our patio umbrella due to the high winds.

OP - I grew up In a Boston suburb, lived in Bedford, NH during high school. College back in Boston. I never wanted to leave MA.
Was offered a job out of college in southern ca. Interviewed for the free trip & basically left New England. There are things you always miss. But I love the southwest.
In general people's yards don't matter as much out here, unless you have a pool or spa. Most people involve their kids in so many structured activities they don't play outside as much as New England.
I hope you like the lower humidity & dry
Climate. Be sure to see the desert in bloom before you decide.... Birch trees are in higher elevations, like Mt. Charleston. You can go see them....

My wife and I moved to Vegas from Vermont where we were born and raised. After house hunting the city we finally settled in The Lakes. You may want to take a look at The Lakes area. It is a mature community with a lot of trees and grass. The development was built in the 80's/90's so, some homes may be a bit "dated" for Vegas but, the trade off is generous lot sizes as compared to many other developments in Vegas, especially for the price.

Best of luck in your search.
