Can't rent an apartment due to bad credit so thinking about living in a hotel. Tried living outdoors in the desert but I couldn't sleep worrying I'll get carjacked or robbed. Not to mention uncomfortable trying to sleep in a compact car.

So is it possible to live in a hotel on the cheap? I have seen specials for $19/weekday but not recently.

Someone before mentioned siegel suites. Which on their website still lists a $159 weekly rate. But if iirc, they also said be cautious

you might be able to find a room to rent (month to month) from someone...maybe even furnished.
Just seems like a better idea than a motel at that price point.

isn't there a 14 day limit of room rentals before you need to move to either another room or another hotel?

Renting a room in a house would be a lot easier/safer. With bad credit or no job you might have to put up a few months rent though. Depends on the person

I am pretty sure all Motel 6 have monthy rates. But I think your best bet is to rent a room.

(Native Nevadan here)

There are several inexpensive hotels around Vegas, but as they are weekly rentals safety may be an issue. They are located on:
  1. Boulder Highway - SE off Downtown. Get on Fremont just past The Experience and head down that way.
  2. North Las Vegas Blvd - Several along the way. Some are close to downtown; some are out by Nellis.
  3. Las Vegas Blvd - There are som old motels just north of Charleston and in that area. This part of town is REALLY rough so , you might want to avoid it unless you have no other choice.
  4. Main Street - Going south from Downtown. Also a rough area.

Frankly, you should consider contact the Las Vegas/Clark County Housing Authority and letting them know that you are having trouble finding housing. They specialize in locating places to stay for people who have just arrived in Vegas and they almost have leads for you. ALso, if you are a vet, contact the VA and they can put you in touch with places to stay.

Unless your credit is completely SHOT (less than 400) you should be able to rent something. You may have to pay a stiff deposit and it may be crappy, but you'll at least have a somewhat decent place to stay.

Good luck.

A room midweek will run $35 after resort fee, El Cortez, Sams Town, Main Street Station. If your spreading enough action at one of there books. Getting freebees mid week should not be a problem. You will also get a decent weekend discount but the week end rate will be around $130 - minus discount =$100.

Pets are allowed too, sounds great.

Does $159 apply to all their properties? And do you know which ones are in the best neighborhoods?
