Is there a downtown outside of the strip (which is not even in city limits)? I can't find any information about that.

You can't find information because unlike many other cities it currently isn't a desination unless you happen to need to go to court or favor the downtown casinos.

God willing the Downtown Project will help solve that.

We have a street called Main Street but it isn't our 'main' street. Fremont Street is our main street downtown. The reason downtown isn't such a downtown anymore is that once they started building enclosed malls, like almost every other downtown in the U.S., ours kind of died out as the main shopping area when all the stores abandoned it. Our downtown is mostly government offices, lawyers' offices, casinos, and the Fremont Street Experience. There is a kind of resurgence going on though, and it's coming back, but in a different way.

Anyway, if you are on the Strip, that is Las Vegas Boulevard. Just follow it north for four miles after you pass Sahara, and you'll come to Fremont Street.

The Sahara is gone too. It's the SLS now.

No. Downtown is not a destination. NO ONE goes down there. Stay away. There's nothing but fun and cheaper prices to be had.
