Where can I find a stadium with open high steps (no railings)?

I missed running the stairs at Harvard Stadium back in Boston. I need a stadium here to keep my fitness so I can qualify for American Ninja Warriors.

I hope this isn't just a brag post about Havad, Bwastin, or running.

But anywho, we live in the most mountainous state of the lower 48. They don't sell trail runner shoes for nuthin at sporting good stores around here. Get some and go run up a trail at Mt. Charleston. If you go all the way up either the north or south loops you'll be running from about 7500 feet to nearly 12,000 feet. It's 18 miles R/T. In the best of shape it took me daylight until dark to hike the round trip. It takes the Las Vegas Track Club about three or four hours to run it. I recommend hiking sandals or shoes with the toes cut out for coming down the mountain to spare the extra pressure on your knees. Hikers' knee pain is caused my their toes ramming into the front of their boots with several times their own weight on a downhill.

If you can't get all the way up to Mt. Charleston, try Lone Mountain. I imagine the Silver Bowl, Cashman Field, and the Thomas & Mack Arena are all locked up when nothing is going on.

Thanks Buzz lightyear!

I will definitely do the Mt Charleston loop when time is permitted.

I need a mid-week stair routine close to my house.

For now, I need a Wednesday

You're a hop skip and a jump from Lone Mountain. There is a trail there that would be a challenge to run up. Similar to running up a stadium. People do it all the time. The altitude would put lead in your pencil too.

You mean the fire stair case? I don't think it is A/Ced and it is illegal to do training without permission.

That's actually a pretty good idea. We have lots of multi-story parking structures in the city - you could run the stairs in any of them and get a good workout. You'd have to make the turns in the staircase, but there are plenty of stairs to climb.
