Here's a cost comparison (with some interesting notations):
How Much Does It Cost to Book Your Favorite Band?

And here's someplace that says they can book KISS for you (sadly, no prices - but probably minimum of $50k, and they want you to prove it):
KISS booking - Metal Music Artists - Corporate Event Booking Agent

Editing to drag back on topic - I'm sure with this being Vegas there are excellent impersonator bands you can get for FAR cheaper. There's lookalikes every time I go to Fremont Street

Don't mean to be nasty, but those are awfully naïve questions. Apparently you don't seem to understand what being the Entertainment Capital of the World means. You really need to spend some time here to see for yourself that Las Vegas is apparently way beyond your knowledge of the entertainment industry. Those questions might be good for Peoria, but are just silly for a city that practically created modern entertainment. Do you really think you could rent a space that could compete with all the Cirque du Solei Shows, and major star venues, among other big shows, that we have here in what are the largest, most luxurious, hotels in the world?

I'm sure they would. Gene Simmons is legendarily mercenary. But you be paying a boatload of money.

My "naïve" questions were made to be somewhat general to be open to multiple types of insight, and not make things narrow, not to make me seem like a little kid who just got a sparked temporary ambition. I suggest you think about how the OP is trying to get insight to learn about the world, instead of getting the chance to shoot someone down, don't mean to be nasty.

My live entertainment isn't focused on music by the way, it's focused predominantly on fight choreography spectacle. It's related to pro wrestling, and mixed martial arts and boxing if they were choreographed.

I also have friends who play Wicked Vickys, Carnaval Court, Gaudi Bar, Club Madrid, Drop Bar, etc in the casinos.

There are about 4 or 5 promoters who handle the rock scene here. I'm sure there are more, but I don't know them, and just about every band who plays out as their only means of income uses the 4 or 5 I know.

If you're not a rocker/metal guy, disregard the above
Now you're talking about my kind of music! I need to get out and check out the local scene a bit more. I guess that's a downside of living way in the SW part of town, it's not close to the nightlife. Taxis are expensive this far away, and there's no way I'm risking a DUI so I usually just stay home.

I hear you. I either limit myself to a beer or two, or have someone else drive. For the most part, it's the 3:00 or 4:00am end times that do me in.. just so damn TIRED at the end of the night!
