Default Las Vegas Churches And EVIL Gambling?

I just wonder if they have churches there that preach against the EVILS of gambling like they do down here. It would seem that most churches in Vegas probably derive lots of money from people who are employed by the gaming industry or even gaming itself (Bingo) so I wonder what they say about EVIL gambling there on Sunday morning (or do they have church 24/7 too?)

Boy, you don't know Vegas do you -

A) Gaming does not contribute to church's - Bingo is not "gaming"

B) Gaming is not evil - Church's do not "preach" the evils of gaming

C) People employed by the casinos are just people - not wealthy -

D) Las Vegas is a town - just like any other town. We locals do not live in the Casinos, do not (usually) gamble much, do not eat all the time in the buffets - We live and work in Las Vegas.

BTW, did you know that the "Strip" is not in Las Vegas?

Most Bible believing churches will preach the dangers of gambling. You see, its really comes down to the "why" and not the "what". Its all about "MOTIVE". Conservative Christians stand by the bible as the ultimate authority in their lives and it is the word of GOD. The bible warns people about what your heart's motives are and if its righteous or evil. Gambling is not necessarily wrong or evil, but its the motive of the person's heart that counts. Are you indulging in gambling for the hope of getting rich quick and solving all your problems ? Are you gambling your money away and not taking care of your responsibilities such as your family? Just like any addiction, people will fall hard if they don't check themselves.

Hasn't the go to Church thing gone out of style yet? Do people still go there outside of uneducated Southern raised hicks, Presidential Candidates pretending they believe in some God so the hicks will vote for them (I don't hate on it because it works well for fellow Republicans), and child molesting priests?? Just wondering? I see many churches being converted to apartments and condo's so at least something happens with those untaxed buildings called places or worship.

I wonder if this clown thinks his bingo night is "evil"?? That's gambling! Oh, but some child molester in a rob says it's ok? Gothcha!

Then again it is well known that our Lady of Las Vegas and some of the other central churches receive a number of gambling chips in their collection basket. These are a bit of a problem to handle. So they got together and got a local Franciscan brother to work out how to convert them to cash..

He is referred to as the "'Chip Monk"
