We went to the Boulder City fireworks. We parked just as the girl was singing the national anthem. Walked and sat on the grass as the fireworks began. Great show, finale was awesome. There was a drone there.

I am a tad jealous that you all got so much rain. We only got small sprinkles up here @ Durango and 95.

Stayed home! I have three big dogs who are terrified of fireworks. The 4th is the worst day of the year for them.

Thanks for sharing! It's interesting to read the different places locals go. We had the whole park nearly to ourselves except for another two people walking around together. I agree with the sentiments that the local fireworks were some of the best shows. In nearly every direction there was some impressive explosions going on. I tried to capture it on my camera but didn't do it justice I'm afraid. I enjoyed seeing all the families out at night setting off fireworks in the neighborhoods and celebrating on nearly every street and corner.

The wife and I skipped fireworks. Instead we went to The Book of Mormon at the Smith Center. The show was seriously great.

Every year, there is a neighborhood party in the front yard a few houses down the road from us. Lots of kids doing sparklers and fountains. This year, I decided to release my inner pyro and set off some big fireworks. Lots of cheers from partiers when I set something off. It was great until I found out that some of the kids were scared by the fireworks, so I quit halfway through.

So now I have lots of fireworks for New Years Eve.

We went to the 215 North until we were chased home by the rain, thunder and lightning. No need to worry though, we had about 4 neighbors setting off illegal fireworks way past midnight. I surprisingly fell asleep about 10:30. I recall planning to make sure we go out of town next year instead, maybe Disneyland. Found spent fireworks in my backyard the next morning. Thankful that my house is still standing.

Stayed home, BBQ d, drank beer & lit off a few whistlers and watched the neighbors light theirs off in the street for the kids. A few local residents nearby had a pretty decent investment in fireworks...I don't know what those huge aerial display bursts cost but I do not think it is cheap. With the few thousands lit off it was a very decent, probably very expensive & long show (that continued into Saturday night)(And it was a lot better then any production put on by a strip casino). Then the evening lightning show (as I have a very good view of the western valley to the north) started which added to the splendor. And we had one idiot nearby that thought he would add to the excitement by firing off his AK-47 into the air. When the guns come out, its time to retreat to the house.
