I am in Vegas for 2 days staying in the Red Rock resort. While here I would like to drive around the Summerlin/Henderson area to look at developments. Any recommendations? Names of developments? We would like a feel of what it would be like to live here.

Have you ever been to Scottsdale, AZ?

Pretty much like Summerlin.

BTW, Summerlin is a master-planned community, an upscale neighborhood, basically.

Henderson is a city, with it's own police force, mayor, and various different neighborhoods.

Enjoy

If you're at the Red Rock casino, you're essentially in Summerlin. Rent a car and drive around west and north or the casino and you're in the neighborhoods. Not many are gated. I'd call a broker, and have them show you properties in the area.

Henderson is about a twenty minute highway drive away, depending on what part of it you go to.

Does Summerlin run commercials in other cities?

For Summerlin, you can try driving up and down Town Center Dr, which runs right through the heart of Summerlin. In my opinion, it has the best landscaping in Las Vegas for a major street.

Isn't there a visitors center in Summerlin? There used to be.
