IKEA Assembling New Store In Las Vegas « CBS Las Vegas

(Las Vegas, NV) — International retailing icon IKEA is announcing plans to open a store in Las Vegas.
The Swedish company is known for its cheap, chic furniture and home accessories. Many of the item require assembly by customers.
Company representatives will announce details of the Las Vegas store, including location and target opening date, during a news conference Monday morning.
Currently, there are only 38 IKEA stores in the U.S., with the closest locations in Covina, CA, Tempe, AZ, and Draper, UT.

I thought that, as of last year, they said we were too stupid to have a store here (actually, they said there weren't enough college graduates per capita here to merit a store).

Ikea was made for Vegas. I don't know why they weren't there years ago.

Not sure.

It is fun to see people stacking their Honda Civics or Minis or Fiats with big boxes, tied together by thin twines on the roof of their cars driving on the highway dangerously!

I've never been to an IKEA but would get there catalalogs. My place is fully furnished now. Bummer. Can't wait to hear the locale.
