They are big in the midwest, but don't expect anything good. They are a low taste comfort food after drinking.

Back in DC, we had Little Tavern which was a small shack that served the same burgers. After seeing movies at the drive-in, we would stop and pick up a case of 12.

Funny thing, I don't care for octopus, squid, etc. Nothing with suckers on it. lol

But I don't feel the need to go on and on about how disgusting I find those items.

IOW, drive on by, food snobs. Bring on the sliders!

Food snobs (well, all types of snobs) are just jumping at the chance to tell you how much more sophisticated they are then you. That's all it really is.

If someone doesn't like something it means they're going 'on and on'? Are you going on an on about how good they are?

Or has everyone just given their opinion?

Considering how morbidly obese this country is becoming, this is about more than just food snobbery. If you read C-D for any length of time, you will discover that it is COMMON for people to proclaim that they simply do not cook. That means they are eating every single meal out. And restaurant food is not particularly healthy.

Fine dining is higher-quality food. But it's still entirely too rich for our daily diet. Quick dining (Olive Garden) is only a hair's breadth better than fast food -- it's loaded with fat and salt. And fast food is killing us. If people cared as much about the things that matter as much as they do about fast food, this would be a more pleasant society.

I finally tried White Castle. There were only 2 people in front of me, on a Friday night. Waited maybe 2 minutes for them to prepare my order. There is very little difference between fresh and frozen. The bread is a bit better. The pickle is just, WHY?
The price was too beaverdam high. I'll stock with the frozen variety if I ever feel the need to consume the sliders.

My oldest brother used to take the skin off, get a salt shaker and eat them like an apple putting salt on before every bite. Damnedest thing I ever saw.

My sister-in-law used to do the exact same thing (as a kid). Some people's taste buds are just weird.
