It's official. White Castle is setting up a permanent home in Las Vegas. Frankly, they are some of the worst burgers I've ever had, but people seem to love them. The line for their truck last year was 2 hours long! I think it's more nostalgia for something "east coast" rather than actual flavor, but to each his own.

I have never had a fresh one, but I love the frozen ones.

Figures, I finally live in a place that will have them, and I am leaving.

I've never had one of their sliders. But I'll certainly try one when the hype dies down. Although "if the hype dies down" might be more like it. There are still lines out the door at Golden Corral, after all.

I don't care what chain you like most, but how much better can a burger get?

Gads, I don't think I'll be going there next spring when I go to Vegas for my annual visit (business conference). Last April I discovered Bobby's (Flay) Burger Palace, near the Monte Carlo and I'll stick with it. Cost me $19 for a burger, fries and drink but well worth it. I tried White Castle in Florida once and I guess if you are eating on what change you can find under the sofa cushion it's better than nothing.

People go to White Castle because it's cheap, not because it's good.

Krystal (and probably White Castle too) is all about whether you were raised on them. Northeast = White Castle, Southeast = Krystal. To everyone else, they're ratburgers.
