Vegas has so much more to offer, always has had. it is more than just gambling, it is fun in the sun, it is blue skies, good entertainment, it is the strip and downtown. And even back in the 80s the crap tables and bj had lower min bets than AC. I can't imagine going to Atlantic city for 4 days or a week, people do Vegas that long all the time. AC is nothing but the boardwalk. Plus our experience has been, people, both the consumers and the business people are friendlier in Vegas.

Don't forget the other activities / sights besides the strip & downtown. We have Lake Mead for boating, Red Rock and Valley of Fire for hiking, and Mt. Charleston for skiing. Also, great proximity to beautiful sights in Utah, AZ, and CA.

Atlantic City has an ocean though, and that we do not have. Do people swim in AC? Is it known for fishing?

Las Vegas has so much going for it compared to Atlantic City as the article posted above by the OP outlines. Las Vegas' location is perfect as it's close to Southern California, Grand Canyon, Phoenix, etc. Also, McCarren Airport being a world class airport helps tremendously. Viva Las Vegas!

Sounds like a business partnership for Uber and Lyft!

It is a beach resort, but I don't know how many people actually use the beach. I never have. I have access to beaches much closer than AC, so I have no reason to go down there to go to the beach.
