Loved the area but it became so over ran with renters and scum, we had to leave. I'm back in Henderson now (Anthem area) and LOVE it. Wish I would have bought in HD before the boom. I wouldn't trade where I live right now for anywhere in town, but thats my opinion. I've been here for 34 years and I know what I like and what I don't. I would suggest looking at the areas your interested in and see if it meets your needs. Hope this helps.......

The east side isn't trailer trash, its the best part of town...There will always be a East Side vs. West Side...I for one, hate Anthem, its too far out, too congested, on a mountain, and yet, I have to go there for the Kosher supermarket...

Where I grew up it sure was!!!
I have friends that live in Aliante (hope thats right) and they say "I" live too far. HA
My Anthem Albertsons ROCKS!!! Love it that the cashiers remember your name and seem (I said seem) to care about you. As far as being congested, what area isnt anymore? I dont mind the drive home being a bit longer to enjoy the nicer area.

I'm the exact opposite. Every moment on the 215 during rush hour seems like an eternity to me. I'd rather live in a less desirable neighborhood that's in a convenient location.

I agree with Chest, How can you enjoy a nice area if its not near everything or takes too long to get somewhere?

I avoid the 215 at all cost. I drive from the Automall to Anthem everyday, I spend 5 min in a nice flow (60mph) on 215 until Valle Verde. Then its all backroads to Anthem. It takes me 25 min to get home. No stress, no road rage and no traffic and thats at 4:30pm, in the morning its even faster. My sister lives in Manassas VA. drive 2 miles futher that I do to work and it takes her 2 hours to get to work and 2 hours to get home. Our traffic issues are minor compared to other cities.
Why can't I enjoy a nice area because nothing is near it. I don't gamble, I don't bar hop (anymore) and if I have to go somewhere, so be it. To think that I would enjoy the area I live in better if its was overcrowed with commercialism is silly.

Uh oh...give it a few years and it'll all be overcrowded with commercial enterprise! If you build it, they will come!

North of the school, east of Maryland is fine, but west of Maryland is trivial depending on the complex...

Where is 89145?
I just bought a house in 89145. What do you call this area and what do you think of it?
