My neighbor was recommending the Cannery Casino Hotels. There is live entertainment some nights free and other nights a small charge. There is one on the Eastside and the other North. I haven't gone there yet but if looks good.

Why don't you go to CJs...Calico Jacks Casino...more like a tavern, has gaming but the Fridays and Saturdays are great!

DJ, Karoke...Dancing...and laughing

Located off of Charleston and Cimarron...looks like a red barn-house....

Perhaps some gaming and drinks. Off strip, on strip I don't care.

Any suggestions? We are late 30's early 40's
I don't know if you live here or are a visitor, but on the First Friday of each month the Arts District Downtown sponsors First Friday. There is a lot going on, but they do have multiple stages set up with live music. And, I think it is Friday nights that CH-3's Tom Hawley's band plays at Lola's Louisiana Kitchen on Charleston. Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez!

Thanks for the suggestions, I should have made this thread sooner.

We went to Marche Bachus and just had a terrible time, that place has really gone down hill. Really bad service, really bad food. Walked out, that's the first time I can remember asking for the check before the food came.

Went to flemmings and had a great time.

Wife and I are into live music. One of our favorite local bands is "Yellow Brick Road." They play classic rock and are very talented musicians. Friday nights they're at Boulder Station and Saturday Texas Station.

If you're into blues check out The Cellar. What I'd term a dive bar with some great blues music.

Gotta check out Sante Fe and the Fat City Horns at the Palms on Monday nights. By far technically the best musicians in town. Check out their website for a sample. Many times touring bands and name act musicans sit in with them. Many of the top local musicians also in the audience.

Frankie Moreno also puts on a good show at the Strat.

We are told by another Marche Bacus fan that the place was again sold and has gone to the dogs. Selling off the whole wine inventory. Some new concept about to appear.

Garfields is apparently open after a run in with the County Health People.
