If a customer gets in your cab and asks to be taken to a massage parlor where they know they can get a happy ending, do you take them to a place that will give you a cut of the action?

They all give us a cut. So do the Strip Clubs and Brothels in Pahrump. I dont really care what goes on in there, but those places pay us pretty well when we bring people in. It is all recorded as a taxable income (they enter all our info, including social security numbers). If you reach a certain dollar amount on the year, you will be taxed for it as earnings.
Some drivers get super pushy and desperate with those places. I know dudes that will ask pretty much everyone if they wanna go see some girls... Kinda sad.

Working 6 days 12 hours shift doesn't leave much time for dating or having family time.

Right... But like I said, most people only do that for the first month or two and then go down to five 12-hour shifts per week... Which is what a lot of professions require these days.
This is America in 2014, not 1957... No families have one adult only working 35 hours a week anymore.

Well, schedules like that aren't for everyone.
Four days after I graduated high school, I started working full time, 12-hour shifts... so it is what I'm used to and don't mind it at all.
I later took a 9-5 job and actually got fired from it because I couldn't focus at work. I hated everything always being the same... just being stuck in that mind-numbing routine... always working when everyone else was working. Leaving the house when everyone else in the city did, coming home when everyone else did... having off time when everyone else did.
So to me, that type of schedule is extremely inconvenient. I like having a weekday off here and there to be able to go around town and get things done during the day without battling all the 9-5ers.

Cheers to y'all for finding something you dig, but not everyone sees 9-5 as ideal.

so you said a good cabbie makes 25-50k..60 hrs a week equals $8-$16 an hour.. thats hardly a good wage for a GOOD cabbie... the average cabbie probably makes $5-$10 an hour...

You'd make way more at an 8 an hour job counting overtime...
