What makes you think that those organizations have some malevolent motive?

I don't disagree with you that a surefire way to prevent the increased incidence is to stop all flights from West Africa. But that is drastic and disruptive. Unless more people slip through the screening process and infect people in USA, things will continue as they are.

The screening process is checking for fever. That is laughable. I can stop a fever with aspirin or tylenol. I never said they had a malevolent motive, I believe that these agencies do not act in the interest of the people and are motivated by agendas and politics.

Your argument devolves into a conspiracy theory that people cannot research. I think I'm done here.

Again though all that has impact of its own. The worst thing would be to cause the involved Africans to flee...and you end up with great hunks of the continent infected giving time and mutation the opportunity to make it far worse. I think WHO and the President are trying to do the right thing...stop it now where it is.

Thus huge resources to the area. Lots of money and personnel. Get it stopped where it is.

They are absolutely not trying to stop it where it is. Ebola has been studied for decades. It is not new. The only way to stop it where it is is to ban flights and passengers.

For this to work at all the passenger needs to be truthful. Simply lying about where you have been will screw it up completely.

I don't know if you have ever dealt with heavy international travelers but in places like Africa multiple passports are very common and avoiding entry or exit stamps is simple. So mostly you are dependent on a truthful answer.

That is true but banning flights/passengers is a start and an effort to keep people here safe. At present, no effort is being made.

And all prior infections were in fact stopped where they were.

And banning flights and passengers may in fact make it spread faster.
